Project 'Expresso 22222'
The word project comes from the Latin proicere , meaning "before an action".
The idea is to carry out a Cultural Manifesto Action/Peaceful Occupation and Artistic Resistance - on the coast between Ilhéus and Itacaré; where the construction of infamous Porto Sul is located – in the state of Bahia, causing great destruction of nature.
The action foresees a great cultural and artistic procession on 02/02/2022, heading (on Iemanjá's day) to the beach, in the place destined to become the stage for the event.
objective
To inquire and question the construction of this port that will bring degradation and pollution to the region. And install a cultural event for several days, centered on the thematics of environmental, social, economic issues, etc., through different means in arts (such as music, dance, installations, performances) we intend to bring attention to this imminent environmental disaster.
justification
Brazil is a major political stage when it comes particularly to environmental issues,
The Atlantic Forest biome is practically extinct and we can no longer allow this infinite destruction to continue.
Porto Sul should be a stage to explore new paths (bioeconomy), as a community so we can revitalize the social organism.
The new world, the 22nd century, the new economy, needs to emerge and be born in a scenario of possibilities for affection, care, a milder style of living with nature.
Summary
The project “Expresso 22222” is named after the album - which this year celebrates 50 years of existence; by the great Bahian composer Gilberto Gil. This being the inspiration for the name of the project, Gil also has its roots – coincidentally – in the region of the Diamantina plateau from where the ores are extracted and exported at Porto Sul.
He is an outstanding character of our culture, an artist who has been allied with environmentalism and politically committed since its beginnings. Gil mixes natural activism with cultural atavism.
He is a symbol of freedom of expression, contestation, and conciliation of diversities. Gilberto Gil sponsoring this project revitalizes rescues the dimension of the new humanity: The Reforest.
The synchronicity of 02/02/2022 at 2 pm also makes this project named 'Expresso 22222'.

A diverse front of artists, third sector actors, civil society, intellectuals, academics, scientists, farmers, indigenous people, community leaders, politicians and institutions, but especially those who are convinced that art saves!
Another ally is Rui Rocha, from the NGO Floresta Viva, an activist who has been developing projects in the environmental and reforestation fields for many years.
United today present in this ideal is Diego Badaró do Chocolate AMMA, entrepreneur who leads several projects in the field of agroecology and sustainability.
And André D'Elia, filmmaker and environmentalist who develops the production of films and documentaries on the environmental theme at O2, also accompanies us.
Another intimate creator of this project is the artist Raphael Arcanjo, who actively works in projects in the field of nature. He has been working for some years as a consultant and professor of Dynamic Biological Agriculture in the south of Bahia.
